When you open an account with Coinchange, we must take steps to verify your identity before you can get access to Coinchange products.
We've partnered with Onfido, an online identity verification company that automates the online identity verification process. They prevent online identity fraud and identity theft, and simplify KYC/AML compliance while providing a frictionless onboarding experience by utilizing industry best practices.
Once you've submitted documents for identity verification, you will receive an app and email notification in 1-2 business days confirming your verification status! If running into issues getting your identity verified, please use the tips below or contact support!
In most cases account verification takes less than 24 hours however due to external factors there might be a slight delay.
Tip: For us to accept your identification document, it must meet the following requirements:
- It cannot be expired
- Your Coinchange account name must match your legal name presented on your ID
- It cannot be altered or damaged
- It must be clearly legible, with no obscuring glare
- All four corners of the document must be visible
